The Club's own Green Monday's Kite Flying activity, normally hosted by Colin and Linda in recent years, took place this year at Don and Tricia's hilltop home in an impromptu fashion. Such are often the dynamics of the club. The wind Gods favoured us, ensuring a colourful array of kites against a deep blue Mediterranean sky. Everyone contributed to a a wonderful spread of "home" fayre,
Anne and Ian’s run out. Thursday 7th March A great turnout of 20 cars met at the fish restaurant at St Georges for a run out to the Stone Lion at Goudi for lunch. The classic cars on the car park drew admiring glances and photo opportunities for the passing tourists. The views over the harbour and out to sea were a perfect backdrop for our elevenses. We all enjoyed a leisurely chat and hot drink despite the chilly northwest wind which made some of us wish we were wearing our thermals. At 11.30 the convoy of cars headed out towards Peyia and up through Kathikas. The well travelled and familiar route gave us the chance to admire the extremely green countryside and flowering almond trees as we headed for the B6. On arrival at the Stone Lion we were made very welcome by Dory, Claire and Walter the parrot. Lunch was extremely good and for those of you who didn’t have the chocolate brownie for dessert, you missed a treat! We will certainly be visiting the Stone Lion again which has lovely views and a big outside seating area for when the weather finally does decide to warm up. Thank you to Anne and Ian for organizing this event. A great day out, doing what we all love to do; driving our cars, catching up with friends and having a lovely lunch. Perfect!
